A Smile!

We finally captured a smile with our camera. Yeahhhhhh!!!!!

Are You Ready for Some Football?

Daddy is getting Mason ready for the most exciting (according to Scott) time of the year: the NFL Season. I'm a little concerned here that I might be outnumbered in the years ahead. Do you think that he will watch "What Not to Wear" with me?

Hanging Out

It's so amazing how much Mason changes every day. There is nothing better in the world than just hanging out with him and watching him learn and grow! He is drooling like crazy now and Scott captured his "drool beard" in this picture.

Mommy and Mason during tummy time.
Our leather couch is the perfect spot for Mason to lounge.
Here is Superman.

The Bumbo Chair

I LOVE this chair! Now that Mason is becoming more aware of his surroundings he likes to be able to sit up and look around.

Mason likes to watch me make dinner.

The Duff Family's Visit

The Duff Family came to visit us and to meet Mason. It was so great to catch up! Zack and Brooklyn were hanging out with Mason on the couch. Brooklyn had her own baby in her arms while Zack held Mason.

Friday Visitors

Yesterday Grandma Bradley, Auntie Karen and cousin Jack came to visit. (Cousin Bradley was at Sports' Camp.) We had a great visit and Scott was even able to come home for lunch. Grandma and Auntie Karen treated us to lunch. Mason loved the visit and he got lots of cuddling time with everyone.

Jack sang lots of songs to Mason. In fact, Mason was mesmerized by Jack and tried to keep him in his sight at all times.

Road Trip

Mason and I went on a road trip yesterday to visit my family at Rebecca's and Joe's. Mason did really well for most of the trip. He is starting to get used to the car seat and his crying episodes are much shorter compared to his first trip to visit my family when he cried for most of the 2 hour drive. Here is Mason with Grandma Day.
Grandpa Day waited for almost 3 hours to see Mason. Grandpa came for lunch and Mason was already sleeping. Ava's play yard was really comfy to nap in.
Mommy, Mason, and Grandpa Day.
Ava couldn't get enough of rocking Mason in his bouncy chair. Mason LOVED this!
Here is Mason with his cousins Luke and Ava. Seconds after this picture was taken Mason started to cry. Luke and Ava did a great job of trying to calm him. Mason loved hanging out with his cousins and watching them run around! It won't be long now before he is running around trying to keep up with them.

Splish Splash I Was Taking A Bath

Mason loves his baths! We now have a bedtime routine: bath, jammies, eat, snuggle, sleep. Mason is quite mellow in these pictures. He loves to have the water bottle sprinkle down on him and he will usually try to look up while we are rinsing his hair to see what is going on.
As you can see we will soon have to move to the big tub for bath time. (Either that or get rid of his duckie so that he has more room!)
Every night daddy dries Mason off and puts him into his jammies.

He Rolled Over!!!!

This morning I had Mason on the floor for tummy time and he was pushing up like crazy. I took this first picture of him and seconds later he had rolled over onto his back! It happened so quickly that I wasn't able to get a picture of the actual rolling but I did manage to capture an image seconds later. I then tried to get him to roll again but he would not hear of it.

Playtime

Mason loves to lay on the floor underneath his activity mat. He laughs, coos, and talks to the animals.
Tummy time usually takes place on the activity mat too. Mason is getting much stronger and can hold his head up for a good minute or more now. He is talking to "the guys" in this picture.
Here he is mesmerized by his animal buddies.

Hanging Out In The Swing

Mason is just starting to enjoy spending time in the swing. Yesterday he was quite content to swing and look up at the twirling birds and insects above his head. A special thanks to Declan for lending him his swing.

This nap lasted all of 10 minutes. Just enough time to build up the energy reserves for playtime on the floor.

Finally We Have a Blog!

At long last (with much coaxing from Scott) I have created a blog so that we can share pics of Mason with our family and friends. It is hard to believe that Mason is already 12 weeks old (as of Monday). Where has the time gone?

I will start to post pictures very soon. Right now I am just trying to get comfortable with posting. Wish me luck!
